![]() Let's just say it all began with a vision. Two sisters, Kim & Kelly, would take brief but much needed breaks outside of their paper craft store, The Paper Pickle Company. There was a bench that they would sit at that was directly in front of a vacant store, just two doors down. The store was beautiful but sad. How could a gem sit there vacant for so long? Then one day Kim said to Kell, "I think this would make the perfect wedding store." Kell kept on munching on her apple but did not fully understand what Kim was envisioning. Then one day while Kell sat alone on the bench the vision came to her. Those gorgeous cream columns and elegant store design. It was all too perfect. But she thought - should we do this? Is the time right? Well the time was not right. Kell was in the middle of planning her own wedding so there was no extra time to take on starting a business. She was too busy surfing the net and scouring magazines looking for the perfect accents for her wonderful day. Who knew these items could not be found in Chatham? Who knew most of the items Kell adored would have to be ordered from the USA without being seen in person and without being sure that this was in fact the perfect touch? Should she roll the dice and hope for the best? Quite a scary and costly thought if she was wrong! So once the wedding was over (and what a gorgeous day it was!), Kim and Kell set out to open their bridal accessory store. (Have a look above to see some of Kell's little details!) Bride & Joy opened its doors on May 15, 2007. Inside you will find everything a girl needs to add a touch of charm and uniqueness to her day. Handmade invitations, guest books, champagne flutes, favours and attendants gifts are just a few things that one can find. Many of the items that are found in the latest magazines can be seen in person at Bride & Joy. But don't think the store is just for brides alone. Adorable birth announcements and gifts are in store. There is also gorgeous stationary, gift wrap, albums and napkins. Are you seeing a trend here? We love paper. We love the little details. We are here to help you look stylish in all stages of life. |
